my art room

is my favorite place.
now that school is out
i plan to spend a bucket
of time creating and basking
in the beauty of my
art junque. my daughter,
beatrice who is 5, has
an art desk right next
to mine. we love spending
time making art together.
now that my house is
cleanish, i can reward
myself to some art making
time with my girl.

these little baby booties
are some of my favorite
creations....they are
constructed totally of
paper and then embellished
with all kinds of little
fancies. and let me just say
i think they are
oh SO CUTE! they are great
new baby gifts or baby's first
Christmas ornaments.

school's out!

whew. we made it! i
sent my little people
on to become big time
fifth graders and have
turned my attention to
summer!!!
ok. it is time for this
blog to get some
personality.

Let me tell you

about my day. i spent 8 hours dressed
in pioneer garb, traipsing around the
museum grounds with 40 fourth graders
in tow....i am exhausted. we made
pouches, cornhusk angels, tin punch
designs. we attended a one room
school house and wrote fancy with
ink and quill pens. we played old
fashioned games and ate the best
"buffalo stew" in the prairie...
i am wiped out, but very proud of
my students and their outstanding
behavior. :)
