i totally have a fairy godmother.

imagine this. dragging your weary body home after a full day of fourth grade, you find what appears to be a small garage sale on your front porch. at first i thought my lover must have received an order for work. but then i noticed the boxes were all open, and inside were little shiny bits of treasure peeking out at me...my kind of treasure!

sparkly treasure!

shimmery treasure!

look at those tiny little molds!

vintage baubles!

little lovelies!

glittery fruit, for pete's sake!

oh so sweet vintage trims!

my mind was racing, where could this have come from!!??
well...it took awhile, but i was able to track down my flea market fairy godmother!
i have a huge smile on my face, cj. bless your pea pickin' heart.

what a totally happy day!

full circle.

here's a happy little story.

15 years ago, i was blessed to befriend a little freckle faced, red headed, ball of fire.
hope erin.
she was 5, just starting kindergarten.
good times. lunch dates, slumber parties, garage sales, movies, you know...fun stuff.
a few years later, of course, she was our flower girl...and let me tell you, she was adorable.

ok so...

yeah. time flies.
now we have a 5 year old, ready to start kindergarten, and hope erin was getting married! of course, our little beatrice eleanora hope was to be the flower girl!

and let me tell you, she was adorable.

full circle.
happy day!

all "decked" out.

ok. another Christmas banner. i know. but it's so cute and easy, i had to share.

start with a deck of cards and a stack of painted die cut letters - or stickers ready to go, even better!
cover the spades and hearts and clubs and diamonds with pretty paper. attach the letters for your word, greeting, or phrase.
add a couple of rivets in each corner.

and so seriously cute.

i used little bits of ball chain to connect these cards together, and i love
the look. very cool.

ok. just a little for your information.
i started back at school today. i really have no idea what this little blog
will look like for the next few weeks, until life is settled. i love sharing happy thoughts and ideas, so please check in on occasion and be patient!

happy day!

those joy jingles...

are making me smile! just look at these darling little pennants!

each was created by ten other artists who all belong to a Christian art group.

we all created 11 pennants to trade, sent them to our gracious hostess, miss linda,

and she sorted and sent them back to us!

my very first swap!! love it!

thank you, girls, for sharing your joy in the Lord with me! i am blessed.

now friends. i need some help. i told you about this rockin new camera my lover brought home...i'm trying to figure it out, and i love the image quality, but i have a feeling it's all too big or something. here's my clue...as i've been loading these little lovely photos, it's taking FOREVER.
so.
if anyone knows what to do, would you please tell me? also, if you could talk to me like a fourth grader, that would help. computer is NOT my native language.

happy day!

i am so stinking spoiled.

first of all. i am married to this man.
yes.
he is as good looking in real
life as he is pictured here.

twelve years ago, he proposed to me
while on the top of pike's peak.
he kneeled. i swooned.
we were married 3 months later.

first comes love
then comes marriage
then comes...

i am a happy, grateful girl.
thank you, Dear Lord.

okay.
here's where the really big time
spoiling comes in...
look at what my lover brought home
just for me!!!!!

i am totally jazzed!
happy day!!!

there was a lot of running
around going on here last week.
swimming lessons,
vacation Bible school, and
overnight trips with grandma
equals
fun for all!!!

anyway, while waiting for the wee ones at the pool,
i was able to use my pretty little
"art-on-the-go-kit" to finish up
a couple of projects!

in its former life, it was
an eight track case. now, for you young ones,
eight tracks were like really fat cds. we never
actually owned any, but my grandparents had some
hit polka tunes on the eight track!

so, i picked this little baby up at gucciville (goodwill)
for one dollar.

designed and decoupaged.

stuff with supplies as needed, and
i'm good to go!

happy day!!
